Free VPN FAQ

Six categories of common questions, each broken into six steps to walk you through.

  1. Step 1: Open your browser and visit the Free VPN official site (mf9.kuaiyaa.com); download links are on the top bar and download section.
  2. Step 2: Pick the button for your device — Windows, macOS, Android, iOS or Linux — to start the installer download.
  3. Step 3: Locate the installer in your Downloads folder and double-click it; accept the security prompt to continue.
  4. Step 4: Follow the wizard clicking Next and keep the default install path; no bundled software is included.
  5. Step 5: Launch the client and sign up with email or phone; free traffic is granted on first sign-in.
  6. Step 6: After sign-in, click One-Click Connect to start. No payment or credit card is required at any step.
  1. Step 1: Launch the client and enter your registered account and password, then tap Sign In.
  2. Step 2: The main screen shows a prominent One-Click Connect button — the fastest way for most users.
  3. Step 3: Tapping it triggers the smart routing engine to scan all servers and measure live latency and load.
  4. Step 4: The engine locks the optimal route and establishes the tunnel in about 3 seconds; status shows Connected.
  5. Step 5: You will see the node region, latency and real-time speed once connected, and can browse normally.
  6. Step 6: Tap the same button to disconnect; next time just tap again to reconnect without signing in again.
  1. Step 1: Confirm your local network first — disconnect the VPN and open a normal site; if it still fails, the issue is local.
  2. Step 2: Check that your account is valid; re-sign in or contact support if it expired or shows unusual activity.
  3. Step 3: Try switching to a different node; the current one may be overloaded or under maintenance.
  4. Step 4: Switch protocol in settings (WireGuard / IKEv2); some networks block specific protocols.
  5. Step 5: Fully quit and restart the client, or download the latest version from the official site to overwrite install.
  6. Step 6: If nothing works, note the error and contact support with your OS version so engineers can locate it.
  1. Step 1: Open the node list; servers are sorted by latency, so pick the one with the lowest number first.
  2. Step 2: For daily browsing, choose the geographically closest node; shorter distance usually means faster round trips.
  3. Step 3: For overseas streaming, pick nodes marked Streaming — these lines are tuned for video platforms.
  4. Step 4: For international gaming, pick nodes marked Gaming to cut packet loss and jitter.
  5. Step 5: For cross-border work or e-commerce, pick a node in your business region for a local access environment.
  6. Step 6: If a node slows down, tap the refresh icon to re-measure, or switch to a backup node directly.
  1. Step 1: Free VPN uses AES-256-GCM symmetric encryption, the standard trusted by banks and governments.
  2. Step 2: All encryption keys are generated locally on your device and never uploaded; not even the server can decrypt your traffic.
  3. Step 3: Data travels through modern tunnel protocols like WireGuard as ciphertext, unreadable to third parties.
  4. Step 4: A strict zero-log policy records no browsing history, timestamps, duration or real IP addresses.
  5. Step 5: Built-in DNS leak protection and a kill switch cut the network if the connection drops, hiding your identity.
  6. Step 6: Free VPN is ISO 27001 certified; its privacy practices are audited by independent third parties.
  1. Step 1: One Free VPN account supports up to 5 devices online at once, covering phones, tablets and computers.
  2. Step 2: Supported platforms are Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and Linux, with identical features across all.
  3. Step 3: Download the matching client on each device and sign in with the same account to sync automatically.
  4. Step 4: When a 6th device tries to sign in, you'll be told the limit is reached; sign out on an old device to free a slot.
  5. Step 5: The Device Management page lists signed-in devices and lets you remotely sign out unused ones.
  6. Step 6: For more devices, upgrade to a higher plan for more simultaneous connections.
